Unlike the Dyson V7 series, both of these can (and should) be washed..Unplug the vacuum cleaner and make sure it’s switched off..Lift out the pre-motor filter from the top of the main body.

Then remove the post-motor filter by rotating it anti-clockwise until it can be pulled off the back of the vacuum..Rinse the pre filter with cold water until the water isn’t murky.

Tap out loose debris, then rotate and squeeze out the excess water..
