Construction Platforms: unlocking the future of building safety
Adaptability and feedback on the suitability of certain DfMA construction systems are just some of its features.
Among other things, it begins to help us fill in some of the digital gaps left by the construction industry’s more traditional processes. It unlocks the potential for an automated digital workflow.
PRiSM offers us a glimpse of what is possible. It opens up our imaginations.. Digital Construction App Broadens User Understanding and Drives Value.Rather than creating PDF documentation about MMC processes and their benefits for housing design, we wanted PRiSM to aid understanding of core MMC techniques more directly.
The app exposes spatial planning rules and MMC design rules to the users, which leads to greater understanding and ultimately accelerates PMH design.By eliminating the need for the type of specialist knowledge which typically surrounds MMC, the app fosters accessibility for a broad range of users with an interest in residential architecture.
It brings transparency to manufacturing-based construction methodologies and makes the entire process of housing design more efficient and predictable.
PRiSM makes it easier to assess the feasibility of projects.. As an educational tool, PRiSM helps designers to understand PMH better.Prior to taking the space they were doing a mix of working at home and in coffee shops.
‘Moving in here has made me realise that there are some really bad office spaces out there,’ says Shaun, ‘but this place makes you realise that an environment can make you work harder and make you happier. You spend so much time at work, it’s really important.
I feel really happy coming here. It’s a place that is conducive to creating great architecture.’.
