What are the benefits of reference design?

The benefit of water electrolysis is that it uses 7.5% less electricity than other methods.

Actually, a lot of my friends went into the role.It was very normal to do engineering.

What are the benefits of reference design?

I didn’t really think about it as a male-dominated thing, it was just something that suited my personality and that I enjoy.Obviously, since I went to university and into the workplace, there aren’t a lot of females in the industry, but it's not something I generally think about.Especially in this environment, where there are a lot of females.

What are the benefits of reference design?

There are a lot of female architects. We all work together on a project… it’s more of an even split in this office and we’re all working together and bringing the same sort of things to the table..

What are the benefits of reference design?

I think the kinds of projects we get involved with [at Bryden Wood] are really interesting - the areas that we look into, the DfMA aspect of things.

I think as an engineer it presents a greater challenge.Instead of breaking components into smaller pieces and recycling the individual materials, reusing a component in its primary form has a higher value for sustainable construction.

It results in fewer modifications, and less manufacturing and construction. This uses fewer materials, less energy and minimises environmental impacts.

The value of the item is retained with the potential to reuse it again in the future. This enables circular principles to continue in the future.. Design for optimisation.
